Omnis Developer Resources

If you are a programmer or just inclined to do it yourself, training in the use of the Omnis Studio Integrated Development Environment can make your experience much more satisfying. Mophilly offers a training course that comprises 32 hours of instruction and 18 hours of self study. We deliver the course via the web or can arrange an on-site class. Plus we offer mentoring and code review services.

Over the years, we have built a number of tools to helps with Omnis development tasks. Please feel free to download the Coder's Helper utility. Brian O'Sullivan created some great examples of Omnis code techniques. He graciously allows us to host the Brian O'Sullivan Omnis Page.

The Omnis Studio web site is home to a great wealth of information, covering every aspect of development and deployment of Omnis based applications. On the site you will find great sources of training and assistance such as links to sites by David Swain, an Omnis guru who offers a large number of excellent articles on using Omnis Studio based on his twenty years of experience with Omnis products. Many Omnis developers have found the "StudioTips" quick reference from Vencor to be quite useful.

Omnis Conferences

The Omnis Conferences are another great way to learn Omnis Studio and meet with professional developers. These are educational conferences focused on deeply technical issues and practical application of Omnis technology. The conferences typically include sessions for those beginning with Omnis Studio, as well as sessions covering advanced SQL, Web Services, DBMS, object oriented programming and Omnis programming.

Each year different conferences are offered, which we attempt to keep up to date. Current offerings are presented here.
